She graduated from Baldwin High School and has an array of practical work experience that includes waitressing, sales and insurance clerking, auto battery & tire sales along with being a paramedical assistant for 12 years, AND she is one of the few FEMALE Chimney Sweeps in the United States and possibly the only Filipino-Hawaiian female Chimney Sweep in the U.S.!
In 2000, SHE became the sole owner of Shakasweepers and has led the company for two decades. All of this along with being a mother of three and grandmother to Seven. Yep, WAHINE POWER!

Cindy takes pride in the fact that she has serviced thousands of dryer vents and chimneys on all Hawaii Islands (except Kaho'olawe and Ni'ihau).
Her practical experience with vents and chimneys is on the same level as a master journeyman in any trade. There is nothing that Cindy has not encountered in the realm of dryer vent exhaust systems, chimneys, fireplaces and wood stoves.
She regularly updates her knowledge through training and online webinars that specialize in clothes dryer vent exhaust cleaning and venting solutions.
She also cleans, repairs, installs, removes, refurbishes and troubleshoots all types of wood burning stoves, masonry, modular masonry and factory built fireplaces. She, along with her fellow chimney sweeps have the ability to contact a nationwide network of dryer vent and chimney professionals.
